Organic Farm

Forest Herbs' plants are grown organically at our own farm, called Kaituna, adjacent to the million acre Kahurangi National Park. This is a temperate rainforest wilderness of New Zealand with the only intrusion being a few hiking tracks.

To replicate Horopito's natural growing environment a semi-shaded effect is created by a canopy of compatible trees. The Horopito bushes must be at least five years old before they are harvested.
Funds generated from the commercial activities of Forest Herbs Research are used to search for new medicinal plants from New Zealand. Forest Herbs Research are also commencing similar research in developing countries on a non profit basis.
