Chronic Intestinal Candidiasis
All patients had been treated previously with antifungal drugs with
temporary effect. |
1 capsule Kolorex two times daily for two
weeks. The group was compared with ten patients treated with Diflucan
50mg per day for seven days.

Clinical improvement was seen in 3 days in
5 patients on Kolorex and in 7 patients in the Diflucan group. All
the patients receiving Diflucan and 15 patients receiving Kolorex
improved clinically in 7 days. 20 patients on Kolorex had significant
improvement in 2 weeks. |

At the time of the trial the conservative therapy
was one Kolorex capsule per day (although one practitioner recommended
6 capsules per day). Since 1992 improvements have been made to the
Kolorex formulation. |
The average of the responses represented a
76% patient improvement rate.
6 practitioners found Kolorex more effective than other remedies;
the comment being that it seemed to be effective in a shorter period
of time.
2 practitioners felt they did not have enough experience to comment.
1 said Kolorex worked comparatively better in cases where the patient
also had chronic fatigue syndrome.
1 found it of similar effectiveness.
1 found it seemed to increase the effectiveness of other remedies.
